The word Reiki literally means "spiritual energy." Its practice is defined as a method of spiritual healing that helps us create balance on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social levels, regardless of our health status or age.

Reiki originated in Japan in 1922, and since then, this method has been practiced all over the world.
“Each and every human being has an innate ability to heal as a gift from God.”
It consists of the laying on of hands from the Reiki channel on the person being treated. It begins at the head, where the door to the spirit is, then continues to the shoulders, limbs, torso, and feet. The length of the session depends on what the person needs to receive.
During the session, the person receiving Reiki is asked to relax and take this time for themselves, letting go of all worries.
Benefits of receiving Reiki
Reiki energy, through the practitioner who is the "channel," flows where it is most needed to balance and restore anything that is out of harmony within the person—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Therefore, by creating balance at all levels, it helps you:
Reduce stress, anxiety, muscle pain, insomnia, and migraines.
Improve digestion and concentration, and clear your mind.
Improve your overall physical, mental, and emotional state.
How often can I receive Reiki?
This is a question people commonly ask when they first hear about this method.
If you are receiving treatment with conventional medicine, this method is a great complement to it.
When a person receives Reiki, their body, mind, and spirit are balanced; from then on, it is each person's responsibility to maintain that balance.
I was recently talking about stress with a friend, and he told me that stress can be a consequence of not properly managing our activities. It's true: if you define your priorities, differentiate between what is important and what is not in your life, and live each day doing your best, taking time to rest without blaming yourself for what you didn't do, your stress level will decrease.
Finally, when you hear about Reiki and the person offering this method assures you that you will heal or that you always need to receive it; take their words with caution; remember that YOU are capable of healing yourself and that this method, like other alternative methods, offers you support and help in your life process, for which you are responsible.
